K9 Advantix for dog kills prevents and controls development of fleas, ticks and mosquito. Apart from this it also prevents development of new fleas by killing initial stages of flea larvae and flea eggs.  Ingredients used are: 

Imidacloprid is an insect neurotoxin, meaning by disrupting the insect nervous system, this substance kills the insect. Permethrin is a common insecticide and insect repellent. Pyriproxyfen is an insect growth regulator. It prevents development of larvae into pupae (adult insect) by killing the larvae itself, thus effectively breaking the biological lifecycle of the insect and preventing development of new fleas. Hence, K9 Advantix for dog is not only effective against adult fleas which make their home in the pet's skin and hair, but by disrupting the entire biological lifecycle of the insect, it also reduces chances of re-infestation.

Once applied to the pet, K9 Advantix for dog spreads through the skin and hair of the pet and provides all around protection against fleas. It also kills and repels fleas and mosquito in the vicinity of the treated animal.

It is waterproof. On application to the affected area, it gets mixed with oil of the skin and spreads slowly to the other parts of the body. This way it becomes effective flea, tick and mosquito control mechanism even after bathing, swimming, shampooing, and exposure to rain and sunlight.

K9 Advantix for dog can be applied by parting the pet's hair around shoulder and emptying the applicator in three or four spots from top to the base of the tail. Do not apply excessively at one spot as it may spill on the sides of the dog. Only one applicator should be used for one treatment. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling and using this product. This product should be applied at least once in a month to get all around protection. This product is perfectly safe for all dogs 07 weeks or older and causes no sensitivity. Individual sensitivity varies from dog to dog. If sensitivity persists for a few days after application, consult your veterinarian immediately. This product should not be used on puppies 07 weeks or younger in age.

Like all other insecticides K9 Advantix for dog is for external use only. It is manufactured for use on dogs only and should not be used on other animals and cats. If your animal is nursing, pregnant, aged and on medication, consult your veterinarian before use. It can be harmful to both pets and humans if swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. Keep out of reach of children and animals. It is advisable to avoid contact with skin and clothing. Do not contaminate with food and feed unknowingly during disposal. For disposal wrap the applicator and container in several layers of newspaper and put in the trash. Partly filled container should not be disposed in indoor or outdoor drains. Empty container is not to be reused.

K9 Advantix for dogs can be stored at room temperature in its original container only. Do not empty this product in any other container. Use this product as indicated in the label. If used otherwise or contrary to the instructions, may cause harm to pets and humans.
